Mobile users are accusing Zuckerberg’s Threads App for causing excessive battery drainage.

Mark Zuckerberg’s new social media app Threads, which aims to compete with Elon Musk’s Twitter, has been accused of draining the mobile batteries by several users.

The app has gained popularity quickly, reaching 100 million users in just five days after its launch and attracting many celebrities.

However, some users are not happy with the app and have reported that Threads consumes a lot of their phone’s power, NDTV reported.

Many users expressed their frustration on Twitter and shared screenshots of how much battery Threads used compared to other apps. One user said that Threads was killing their battery at a “very fast” rate.

Another user showed that Threads used 53% of their phone’s energy, while Twitter only used 12%.

Meta has not responded to the complaints yet.

Meanwhile, the app’s popularity has affected Twitter’s traffic, which dropped by 11% compared to the same period last year, according to New York Post.

Threads has become the fastest online platform to reach 100 million users in just five days, beating ChatGPT.

Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Meta, claiming that it stole its trade secrets and other confidential information.

Elon Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro also alleged that Zuckerberg engaged in “illegal theft of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property”.

Meta denied the allegations and said that none of the engineers working on Threads had previously worked for Twitter.
