Natural, unflavored and unsweetened yogurt is said to be extremely beneficial for curing vaginal yeast infection. It contains bacteria (probiotics) that balance body’s bacteria and reduce pain.
All you will need to do is take some yogurt and apply it liberally to the infected part. Let it remain for 20-30 minutes or overnight. It will not only reduce redness but also aid in itching. You can also put yogurt on cotton and put the cotton in the vagina for two hours. Adding yogurt to daily routine will make sure that you do not experience yeast infection frequently.
2. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has anti-fungal properties which makes it suitable remedy for yeast infection. Simply dab the vagina and its surrounding area with coconut oil twice or thrice a day.
One more effective way to get rid of yeast infection is by mixing coconut oil with cinnamon oil and putting it on the affected area. If the infection is in the mouth of your lady part, put this mixture in that area and swirl around for 5-10 minutes.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is a magical solution to many health problems, including vaginal yeast infection.
Simply add 2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar in 1 cup warm water and drink twice a day. Oral application of apple cider vinegar mixed in water may help with itching and swelling.
Garlic is not only antifungal, it is also antibacterial which is why it is perfect for yeast infection. You can simply apply powdered garlic or add some vitamin E oil to it and then apply it on the infected site.
Consuming garlic daily will help in preventing yeast infection.
5. Boric Acid
Make a small amount of paste by mixing boric acid with water and apply on the infected site. Leave for a few minutes and then wash thoroughly with plain water.
Caution: This must never be used by pregnant women.
6. Marigold Flower
Marigold flower (gainday ka phool) has anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Just grind 2-3 petals of the flower and apply on the infected area. You can also consume the flower’s tea to prevent future infections.
